In 2022, church members Cassie Sampas and Janice Owen, organized the first annual UCC Thanksgiving Dinner on the first Thanksgiving after both recently losing their moms. Having grown up in large family where Thanksgiving was a day to share joy, thanks, and fellowship with others, they missed having a group to share a meal with. They knew they weren’t alone, and wanted to extend their heart to others in the community who didn’t have plans that day. The dinner was a hit, and enjoyed by over 20 members of the church community. This year, we are extending the invitation to the greater community and are excited to bring joy to Thanksgiving for many who may have otherwise been alone.
The Fourth Annual UCC Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Thursday, November 28, 2024 in the Union Congregational Church Fellowship Hall. The doors will open at 12:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome! Please use the links below to RSVP, or sign up to donate food or your time!
